California Neurohealth: Non-Surgical, Drug-Free Western Medical Care Meets Eastern Traditional Chinese Medicine
California Neurohealth is a multidisciplinary clinic in Redwood City specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain and neurological disorders with a special focus on sports injuries sustained by elite athletes, including combat injuries. By providing side-by-side Western and Eastern treatments, California Neurohealth strives to help patients heal faster after injury and achieve their maximum health and athletic potential.
The California Neurohealth Difference: The Best of Western & Eastern Medical Care
From faster recovery following injury or stroke to preventive care programs aimed to reduce the risk for injury, California Neurohealth is the only Redwood City clinic to provide a multidisciplinary approach to injury treatment and pain management. As a new patient, both our healthcare providers will evaluate you and work together to create a synergistic treatment program drawing on Western non-drug/non-surgical methods and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Our diverse treatments include neuromuscular re-education exercises, cognitive training and the stimulation of the body’s different sensory systems, including balance (vestibular), auditory, and visual. We find that this combination of care is effective for restoring a greater range of mobility, coordination and balance to the body following injury. While we recognize that it is never possible to prevent every injury, whenever possible, our goal is to reduce your risk for future injuries. Our preventive care programs are designed to improve physical strength, skill and mental focus.
Our synergistic approach can significantly improve patient outcomes, reduce recovery time, and improve overall health faster than the traditional Western medicine approach. For example, if you have sustained a sprain or strain injury, a combination of Western non-surgical care and Traditional Chinese Medicine may be able to cut healing time roughly in half. We have also had great success treating “non-healing” injuries. This includes non-healing fractures that other medical providers have recommended for surgical repair. For stroke patients, we find that our neuromuscular re-education exercises and cognitive training helps our patients regain a fuller range of mobility and coordination than would otherwise be expected. Our goal is to surpass expectations whenever possible!
