Dr. Christopher DeMartini is a Bay Area native, born in San Francisco and a graduate of St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Dr. DeMartini’s experience with chiropractic care began in his teens and was a pivotal part of maximizing his performance and facilitated his healing from injuries which allowed him to become the California State Champion in the shot put and a Junior National Champion in weightlifting. Upon graduating high school he declined many athletic scholarships in order to accept a residency at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. While in Colorado Springs he completed his undergraduate education at Pikes Peak Community College. A severe injury ended his athletic career, but his remarkable recovery, thanks to the aid of Dr. Sergio Azzolino, started him on a new path of becoming a Chiropractic Neurologist.
He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in June of 2005, graduating cum laude. He has completed postdoctoral studies in Chiropractic Neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies and became a Diplomate in December 2006 after passing the American Chiropractic Neurology Board Exam.
Dr. DeMartini has been fortunate to have trained alongside many elite athletes during his residency at the Olympic Training Center and this experience has given him great insight into the relevance and application of chiropractic as a beacon to the pinnacle of human performance. Dr. DeMartini continues to be involved in weightlifting as a local team doctor and is in training to become an international team doctor for the United States.
Dr. DeMartini has recently moved his practice to Palo Alto to start his dream practice, California Neurohealth, with his wife, Elham Khodabandeloo. Dr. DeMartini uses a wide repertoire of techniques that are safe and comfortable for all people including newborns, people with advanced osteoporosis, the severely disabled and people who have had a bad chiropractic experience in the past. Dr. DeMartini finds grateful satisfaction with facilitating the health and wellness of families through excellent chiropractic care.
